My thoughts on DC Super Friends area at SFOG

ALL PICTURES ARE MINE, GIVE ME CREDIT FOR THEM

I definitely do think that a new kids/family area was needed as there were coasters and then baby rides, not much for the in between. I personally enjoyed Wonder Woman Flight School because it's really fun for everyone and I've ridden the same type of ride at Carowinds, Woodstock Gliders. I also think the retheme of Wile E Coyote Canyon Blaster was great! I thought the Joker fun house theming was fun and visually appealing. I also found the ride to be smoother and even felt a little faster than it was as Wile E Coyote, even if I don't know they did any track work. The Batcopters were also a visually appealing ride even though I was too tall to ride.
I do think the area is conveniently close to some other family friendly rides like Monster Mansion, Dahlonega Mine Train, and Bugs Bunny Boomtown. The area is very fun and I like the Super hero theme music always playing. The only thing I am bothered by is the names of rides. I mean, the whole day at the park, my group was like " I wanna ride The Joker" or "Let's ride Superman" and I would always be like "Which one?" It would have been easier to make the Riddler's Revenge coaster or Mr. Freeze upwards blast. But that's a small detail that doesn't matter much I guess.
Now for my rant on Superman Tower of Power. I'm sorry and I know it's not the park's fault or anything. When I arrived at the park, all the rides in the area were open but Superman (the drop tower obviously) was closed. OK, I'll just come back later to ride it. We came back later and it was open, so we stood in line for about 10 minutes. We were supposed to be the next ones on when the ride gets stuck at the top. "We apologize for any inconvenience, this ride is experiencing technical issues and we currently do not have an expected opening time." Wow, I'm a little annoyed, but it's okay, I'll just check it again later. I come back about 3 hours later and the same exact thing happens. It gets stuck at the top and they close the ride. I actually wanted to ride this because it sends you up and down multiple times unlike the main drop tower Acrophobia. So there's my little "upsetment."

Overall, I am very pleased withe the DC Super Friends area. It has some very fun rides everyone can enjoy. And the music and theme is a great appeal. I think it is a great addition and I'm glad that Six Flags recognizes what we guests are lacking. Now for a new coaster! Haha!
